Northside Tavern is a must! In town for a laid back Jazz Festival and needed to get down and dirty and funky and sticky! Northside checked all the boxes! Met the owner Tommy, the bartenders Evan and Sam and Natalie Rose the funkiest sister this side of the Mississippi. Nothing but love 7 days a week!!!

Really talented local bands! I love to stop in and listen to the live music once a month or so. Bartenders are courteous and competent. This bar has been here forever. Way before any of the places around it. The juxtaposition of this tiny old bar in a sea of really tall, fancy buildings looming over it is just too interesting not to make mention of!

Saturday night was the worst experience I ever had at northside this was like my 4th time coming. First off the men bartenders are always so welcoming and professional shout out to Rob and Evan…but the female bartender (sam) & (brooke) is terrible they gave me a hard time the entire night attitudes was terrible service as bartenders to me and my girls was terrible the way they carried as bartenders is terrible drinking on the job is not for everyone snorting while working is not for everybody definitely when your dealing with people all night that stuff makes you aggressive and irritable and overall it’s a bad look for you guys business I enjoy northside and I would love to come for many more years but damn that was a shitty feeling

Went today for friends birthday after trying to find a place with decent priced drinks and good music. After several failed attempts at other fancy bars we found Northside tavern. Bar tender was super friendly and didn’t mind helping find the correct size tshirt for a purchase. Pool tables and sticks were level and square.Great dive bar if you’re use to bars like we have in Athens area.

Really awesome experience! "Divided by 5": great blues, jazz, soul, R&B and more. The vocalist had an astonishing voice! She knew exactly how to project it. Musicians were all outstanding! The stage poured out talent in all directions!

We went to Atlanta to visit a close friend and wanted to hear some blues so this was our first choice. This place has been here for many years and the live bands are always super good and entertaining! Don’t park on the street! There is a parking garage right there that we don’t know about and after we came out our back passenger window was smashed. Besides that we had a super fun evening. I recommend this place for some great live blues music. We will be back!
