Pemberton Farms is such a charming, one-of-a-kind spot in Cambridge. The combination of gourmet grocery store, deli, garden center, and boutique gift shop makes it feel like a hidden gem with something for everyone. Their deli sandwiches are fresh and flavorful, and I love browsing the curated selection of snacks, wines, and unique local products. The garden section is also a huge plus—great variety and very well-maintained. The only reason I’m giving four instead of five stars is that it can get a bit cramped during peak hours, and parking is limited. Still, it’s a neighborhood favorite that’s well worth the visit!

Excellent small grocery specialty store. Great deli and sandwich counter (join the discount club for the sandwiches). They also have a loyalty discount program. Wide selection of fresh breads. Small but high quality selection of produce and fruit.

This is my local grocer near Porter Square. I LOVE this place. They have very high quality foods here. I am especially happy with the amazing selection of vegan foods - better than any other I have been to. The produce is great and they really have a lot of vartiety of products. And I love in the warmer months being able to by lovely plants!

They have some specialty items that I go there for, and their fresh bread is awesome. However, as others have said everything costs at least 20% more than every other grocery store. I guess people that shop here aren’t in the complain-about-high-grocery-prices crowd. I’ll continue to shop here, but only for the few things I can’t get anywhere else.

They bake the best sourdough I've ever had!
Please also try their home made: almond soft cookies, pear tart, and cakes.
Cakes are packed in slices and it's in a cool island in front of the deli. You can also find Tiramisu (the best I've ever had: chocolate, coffee and mascarpone just in the correct proportion so you have all the flavour in a delicate way).
Sandwiches are delicious, some of them made with their own focaccia and ciabata.

I’m so elated I came across this market while we were driving around one evening. Although I grew up in Cambridge (now residing in NY), I rarely venture to this side of the city. The market reminds me of businesses I’ve experienced in the Berkshires. The vibe is laid back with friendly customer service and quality merchandise. There was so much to see in all departments and the nursery is divine. There is a parking lot; however we parked on the street. There are also benches and little tables interspersed outdoors. I look forward to my next visit to Cambridge and will make this one of my first stops.

Yes, this place is expensive but they do offer different products and brands that I don't usually see at your typical grocery store. They also sell bakery items from local bakeries as well as their own products.

Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as easy to eat dishes. There is a liquor section that has good variety of beer and wine and hard liquor.
