I'm biased because I fish for the company and they ultimately sign my paycheck. That said, delivering to the plant is nice because it means I don't have to do the things I would normally need to do at the tender as they have a crew of people there to handle those duties.

Went there for work as a diesel mechanic on boats but when I had a moment to stop and take in the scenery it made the trip worthwhile most of the time it was an engine room but for the brief moments I got to stop and take a break and look around it was amazing

Wow ! Ten years ago I started fishing on a boat that worked for silver bay and for a lot of years I had to much pride for this company, they paid the most or matched the highest bidder in any of the fish that they processed and other processing companies. Their service was great. Tender service was awesome and it was just a good feeling to be involved with a company that was by fisherman for fisherman so fisherman could fish where they want when they want. But over the last two years things have definitely changed, last year, the tender service was super complicated as a crewmember. We were up all night running around, trying to get offloaded because they were putting all their tenders in one spot instead of spreading them out around by where the fishermen were fishing. This year they are not even matching the highest price. And on a year that the salmon market crashes, and has not been as low as the prices are since 1996. They decide to kick us again and not match the highest priced outfit out there. It doesn’t really matter what the reasons are you can’t have a motto, and then not follow it.

Nice wind tunnel of a plant . Town is about 45 min walk . Cell phone actually gets service . I heard there's about 14 miles of road in this town . So far so good ?
