My wife, two daughters (11 and 10), and I spent the morning at Hope River Farm, and it was as pleasant an experience as visiting a favorite cousin. I honestly learned a lot about farming. The work was mostly feeding animals and helping with their various quarters (spreading wood chip bedding for turkey chicks, etc.) It was just the right amount of actual "work." My kids felt a sense of accomplishment and were never bored or distracted during the two-hour tour. Highly recommended!

My wife found this great little farm while searching for things to do on a cloudy day (the owner even supplied us with boots for the mud!). Fantastic experience with the owner. She is very passionate about her small working farm. The whole tour was fun and interesting. My son especially loved seeing the baby ducks. Highly recommended for families.

Hope River Farm has the most amazing local meat products...our family absolutely loved it all. The sausages and bacon were unbelievable and we made some great burgers out of the ground pork. If you are in PEI and looking to cook local, this place is a must!
We would have loved to order more but sadly our short time on the island didnt allow it...we hope to be back sometime and will definitely pay Hope River another visit!

Wonderful place. We did the farm chores tour and all the animals were super healthy and happy. I don't personally eat meat but I would recommend this farm to anyone who wants to make sure their meat is ethically sourced and treated with care!
