Stayed for one night while visiting Kotzebue. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Room was nicely furnished. There’s also a very nice observation lounge with views over the sound. ||We ate in the hotel restaurant which was pretty busy. Food was freshly cooked to order and portion sizes were generous, to the point of being too big. We had the reindeer stew which was excellent, and the Cajun chicken pasta which needed less chicken and more sauce but was still good.||Breakfast is a selection of (chargeable) grab and go items from the little store in the lobby - but the breakfast burritos were tasty!||Hotel is not cheap but for a rural community it is a very nice place to stay. Postcards are $4 each.||The hotel is a 5-minute drive from the airport and the taxi fare was $14 each way (for two of us).

My biggest issues are the exhaust smell in my room that keeps me up at night coughing and eyes tearing. The manager explained that everyone has to suffer it and changing rooms won’t help.
I’m staying here for almost 3 months , my stay is employer sponsored, and the room features a tiny fridge. I asked if I can utilize the hotel freezer and luckily I was able to do so.
There is no smoking within 20 ft of the hotel entrance, however, you are greeted with a cloud of cigarette smoke and weed smoke stepping out of the hotel .
On a positive note, the staff is friendly and the hotel is clean and quiet.

We stayed here for 3 nights in our quest to visit the 2 national parks in the arctic circle.|Very pleasantly surprised to find such a nice location in such an out of the way place. Our room was modern and very clean and comfortable. The restaurant also had an extensive selection and the food was quite tasty with a fairly reasonable cost considering the area. The servers were all courteous and friendly as were the front desk personnel, especially George at the front desk, who answered all our questions and gave us some tips. And Keith quickly took care of a lighting issue in the room.|A special thank you to Jeanette, the manager, who went out of her way to make sure we got to the airport on time. Also appreciated her filling out an Arctic Circle Certificate for us.

Very good hotel! The rooms are very nice and I live the resteraunt in it. I highly reccomend the strawberry lemonade. Also keep in mind the hotel only has a shower but besides that I had a good stay

Such a nice, clean, comfortable hotel! There is not much to do in this town and it is pretty run down, but the hotel is kept up nicely. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly! The wifi was pretty bad but what can you expect when you are so remote!? The restaurant on site was convenient as there are few in town but service was slow and the staff seemed hesitant to communicate. But the food was delicious!

I gave it five stars because I couldn't do anymore. This hotel is amazingly kept in pristine condition. The rooms, hallways and lobby are immaculate. The staff are professional and prompt. The restaurant, my goodness, they have perfected the art of crunchy french fries. Just absolutely delicious food.

The only area for improvement is the wifi signal and how the access points signals do not reach the rooms at the end of each side of the building. A simple wifi site survey would easily fix this by adding an additional AP to each side of the building.

I can't wait to come back.

Loved my stay here when I visited. Comfortable modern room without any issue and a great view of town. I loved the room on one of the upper floors that offered a view of the water, great place to get some quiet work done. So grateful for the good wifi as well.

This place is very nice. I gave it 5 stars because the rooms were nice AND clean, the people were friendly and accommodating, and THE VIEWS ARE AMAZING! IT'S RIGHT ON THE CHUKCHI SEA! BEAUTIFUL!
