This was such a fun and delicious outing for the whole family. We stopped at the general farm store down the road thinking it was where we’d pick our strawberries but were kindly redirected to the correct place. The views were beautiful. I love pick your own anything as an activity bc it teaches kids where our food comes from.

This farm is a true gem - friendly helpful stuff, amazing selection of fruits and vegetables, honey, preserves, pies, apple cider, candles, mums, pumpkins and so much more. It is located a few miles away from downtown Portland and about 10 minutes away from downtown Middletown in a beautiful picturesque area, just around the corner from the Portland fairgrounds. Have found some really great onions there, beautiful and firm, huge butternut squash, gorgeous apples and the prices are a pleasant surprise. They also have pick-your-own-apples in season. Definitely a go-to for fresh produce, so much better than Stop & Shop! Farm is open until Christmas Eve.

Great place to get your plants for your garden! We got flowers for mother's day and they're still doing great, blooming more and more every day. Went back today for some vegetables and they had an array of options, ended up leaving with lemongrass, several kinds of tomatoes, peppers, rosemary, watermelon, thyme, and some of my favorite Hosmer sodas to cool us down after planting! They still had tons of flowers, herbs and other plants, and an array of other nice things inside like local honey! Would definitely recommend Gotta's Farm.

There are two fabulous greenhouse/farmer's market on the street. Gotta's has long been our family's chosen business, family-owned, beautiful plants, superb baked goods. It's April and I've started collecting seedlings for the garden. Looking forward to perusing the tomato starts when they come out. THE BEST PEACH PIE in the area, and I've tried them all. Fruit of the Forest is my second favorite.

In Portland, Gotta’s Farm and Cider Mill is in its fourth generation and was established in 1898. The farm has two locations, at Rte 17 for pick-your-own strawberries, peaches, pears and apples, and at the QP Farm Market on Rte 66. The latter sells farm-fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as enticing pies, breads and cookies, together with Christmas trees and decorations later in the year.

Gotta’s Farm also has a garden center, for annuals, hanging baskets, perennials, flowering shrubs, evergreens, herb plants and vegetable plants.

It would not be autumn without enjoying cider from Gotta Farms. It has been an annual tradition for years; picking apples with the grandkids, and purchasing baked goods and wonderful cider. At Gotta's the cider is unpasteurized, the way that it should be. It is delicious and the staff there is wonderfully friendly and helpful. I always mourn when the last of the cider is finished and they close for the season. I celebrate the start of every new season. Wonderful place!!!

What a fantastic place for strawberry picking! I've been to a few places and this is now my go-to spot. The field itself has a spectacular view with easy drive-up access. The strawberries were sweet and plentiful without having to sort through a bunch of mushy ones- I've never had such an easy time picking. I called a few pick your own places in central CT and Gotta's had the second lowest price (some of the others were 60 cents more per pound). The girl at the farm stand was super laid back and friendly. Their hours are outstanding remaining open most of the day into the evening. We had ages 2-13 and all had a really great time. Will be back.

Apple cider donuts are excellent, such wonderful apple flavor! Their mini blueberry pie was perfectly sweetened & the crust wasn't thin or undercooked. Can't wait to try more!!
