Best food tour experience ever. Brad, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable about local history and the food was great. Yes, they’re sample sizes, but there’s several places you visit. Brad also offered suggestions for where to shop, and which bars and restaurants to visit. This tour made our trip even better. Highly recommend this tour if you’re in the area.

Traveling on a cruise ship; this was a great way to learn about Juneau, and of course Alaska. The food tastings were very flavorful, our guide Margaret introduced us to the Alaskan culture, we enjoyed hearing the local stories of this charming town and the life of the people. We highly recommend tihs food tour in Juneau to travelers of all ages. Thanks a lot to Margaret our guide for making our day very pleasant and special thanks to Midgi the tour owner for the pleasant surprise she prepared for us. We had a great time.

We took a private tour with Midgi and it was the best thing we did on our cruise. She took us all over Juneau and showed us a ton of stuff that most tourists never see or have to make multiple trips to see. Thank you so much Midgi - it was absolutely fantastic!

Tour guide was not very personable, she told us more about her life than Alaska. Not a lot of food or drink was had. Main Juneau Food Tours building was in a dumpy area that I would skip next time. We also skipped a stop, didn’t go to any of the touristy locations that we expected (like Red Dog Saloon), and didn’t have any king crab legs. We spent $186 a person to have a couple soggy crackers and some jelly. Didn’t feel like the tour guide informed the places we were coming and was just walking around trying to open random doors. I think in the future it would be best to try and get a tour guide that can relate better to the age group of the guests they’re guiding.

Shonda took us on a WONDERFUL walking tour around town. As a Juneau native she was able to add some town history to the food and drink we were sampling. Not only did we visit local haunts and dining hotspots, we sampled locally produced teas, jams, and sauces not found in restaurants, or anywhere in the Lower 48. She gets a perfect 5/5!

It started off with a shuttle driver being 45 minutes late to pick up our group of twelve.

Jamie the tour guide told is how she lost her full time job and had 4 cats to feed so give extra gratuity to help her out.

We were not taken to all locations listed in our itinerary.

We enjoyed samples that you get for free if you just showed up to the shops.

They take you to their “headquarters” which is a makeshift store front and you get a small salmon spread on 2 crackers, then they try to sell you the items. It felt shady and a racquet.

We left the tour at the end starving and had to go back to the ship for dinner.

We enjoyed the Juneau food tour and liked our tour guide alot. 4* though as only deterrence is that we all thought it was a little pricey tix charge. Good commentary on Juneau from a life long Juneau resident and stops focused on Juneau establishments.

I booked a 4 hour private jeep tour for my friend and I.

Midgi picked us up this morning at our rental and toured us around to some great, off the beaten path spots.

We saw beautiful nature and learned about the area and history and stopped at a local brewery for lunch.

We saw a bear pretty immediately and got some great photos.

I'd highly recommend if you're looking for something fun to do in the area.
