A foodie's delight! Expensive even by Vail standards, yet absolutely worth it. Every cocktail, appetizer, entree, and dessert (yes, we went all out for an engagement celebration!) was carefully composed, crafted, and presented to give a full sensory experience. The low key but attentive service was perfect. True 5-star dining.

Had another fantastic dinner at Sweet Basil in Vail—our third visit over the years, and it never disappoints. The Citrus & Chicories Salad and Spanish Octopus were perfect starters, but the real standouts were the Roasted Duck Breast and Beef & Broccoli—both incredibly flavorful and beautifully prepared. The ambiance was spot-on, and the service was attentive without feeling rushed. A must-visit if you’re in Vail!

If you’re lucky enough to get a reservation at Sweet Basil, take advantage of it! The cocktails alone are beyond impressive, setting the tone for an incredible dining experience.

We started with the whipped feta appetizer, which was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. For entrées, the striped bass was the standout—it’s a whole deboned fish with the skin on, but the skin peels off easily, revealing incredibly flavorful, perfectly cooked fish. I honestly wish we had gone back a second night just to order it again!

The kids’ meals were just as impressive—the chicken pot pie was fantastic, and our son cleaned his plate. Our daughter raved about the Caesar salad, calling it the best she’s ever had. We also tried the Lump Crab Tagliolini, which was good, though it didn’t quite compare to the striped bass.

The atmosphere was sophisticated, making it a great spot for both a family dinner and a date night. Overall, Sweet Basil exceeded our expectations, and we would absolutely return!

One of my favorite parts of traveling is discovering new food, and this restaurant made the entire trip so worth it. Every single dish I ordered was absolutely delicious—seriously, not a single miss. If you’re into espresso and a little buzz, do not skip the Carajillo. It’s the perfect balance of rich coffee and smooth alcohol, and I’m still thinking about it.

The salmon? Just wow. Perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor—it’s a must-try. I shared some pictures of what I ordered, but honestly, even those don’t do the flavors justice.

This place isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience, and it’s one I’ll be recommending to anyone who loves good food. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation ahead of time—it’s a spot you won’t want to miss!

I wish Sweet Basil was in my city in New York! I would go every week to dine here. I came for my birthday dinner with my husband and the experience exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere, staff and food were all exceptional. We had the French onion lasagna for an appetizer and we almost ordered it again for dessert. Everything we ordered was delicious, including the cocktail. I highly recommend dining here.

My only gripe is that the menu should really specify that their fish entree is deep fried !!! I didn’t feel right sending it back so I tried my best to eat what I could of it.

We came here for our anniversary dinner. Our server was amazing, and the drinks were delicious. The whipped feta as an appetizer is a must.You must order the sticky toffee pudding cake as a dessert. It changed our lives! Would love to come back and try more of the menu.

A must try if you’re in Vail. The trout in curry was amazing! The whipped feta with the crazy bread topping that you break with a spoon was delicious! Also make sure you try the French onion lasagna!!!!!
