Mat-Valley Meats did the same thing to us. They got us for about $3000 dollars total.

We got a 1/2 cow and a whole pig, for the cow we got 5 boxes and one was just bones.

The beef is nasty, bone dust on the steak, tough and smells rotten when thawed, ground beef is the absolute worst, grisly and rubbery.

The pork is also nasty, smells bad, like its old, tried to cook the ribs stunk the house up.

They tried to hustle me for few extra hundred when I went to pick it up, very discourteous lady behind the counter.

Reading these reviews I can see I’m not the only one to have gotten some bad meat.

We don’t know if the meat was inspected as it has no labels.

I’m reaching out to the farms where this meat supposedly came from to see whats up.

My experience was pretty bad. Took almost a month to get my shipment. After calling and speaking to staff several times, I was charged again for extra delivery fee. 2 Weeks later, no product delivery. I had to call and find the boxes and pay again to another airline. Fast forward, called again to make another order and spoke to the same staff member, that seemed as though he didn't care about what previously happened, didn't care about a possible next order getting lost, didnt care to even try and figure out a solution or escalate it to someone else. Just said "it will probably happen again". I had approximately $800 in the cart ready to order...so I told him thanks for nothing. I emptied the cart and will NEVER utilize this company again. They will take the payment alright...then they dont care about the customer! Good Job Mat Valley Meats.

The purchase of half a Burris Organic beef has been the worst consumer experience of my life. Each and every package of burger we have opened has been riddled with bone the size of rice grains. I am not exaggerating when I say it’s the bone a person could not break up with their teeth. All the steaks are covered with bone dust from the meat saw. Not just a little dusting- but covered.

The meat is the toughest meat we have ever, had…EVER. We decided to try the ribeye’s and they were just as bad. The worst part of all of this is- if we spent $1800 anywhere else, and got such a poor product, something would be done to make things right. However, MR. BURRIS HAS NEVER RETURNED ANY OF MY 5 calls to even discuss this problem. The butcher takes my name and number, and nothing ever happens.

BUYER BEWARE! . I am going to be taking further action, which could have been avoided by the simple consideration of returning a call and a little good customer service. It’s too bad a LOCAL COMPANY TREATS LOCAL FAMILIES SO POORLY.

Made a bush order. Bought a Poultry Pack for $169.00 and a Beef Pack for $349.00 and $144.00 for shipping. I made the order Sept.9th. Order arrived on the 18th. The 22lb Turkey was outdated with 11/26/18 the Chicken wings were dated 7/13/2016. Nothing else had any dates on them. I can't believe they would clean out there old meat for my bush order. They are not returning my calls to try and settle this matter. I will never order from Mat Su Valley Meats ever again.

We live in Fairbanks and ordered a 50lb box of meat from Mat Valley Meats. They were eager to take our money but failed to deliver the meat. When I called them, they were extremely rude on the phone and eventually hung up on me. Do not trust this company, I ordered that meat over three weeks ago, having to dispute it with the bank. If I could give a company zero stars I would. Who knows you might be the lucky one, buying three week old meat once they finally get it back in their store.

Spent almost $2,000 on half of a grass finished beef and the quality is unbelievably poor. The ground beef has so much gristle that every bite is a frustrating experience and the steaks/roasts are stringy and just not very good. This is unacceptable.

Product review: their grass feed beef (half and whole cows) is so tough and stringy it's barely edible. Seems like something to mention before you sell $1,700 or $3,400 of product and maybe toss in a $19.99 meat tenderizer. Avoid the grass fed beef unless you're hoping to strengthen your jaw muscles and like picking stringy meat out of your teeth.

I find the casings too tough and chewy. On the wild game sticks and wild game hot dogs. This is not new. I’ve eaten these two items from this market for the past few years. The meat flavoring is great.
