This is our second year buying pullets from Polaris Hatchery. We have been very pleased with the variety of breeds offered (and egg colors) and appreciate the option to buy adolescent pullets rather than needing to raise chicks. All of our pullets from last year grew into healthy hens and strong layers and we are looking forward to seeing our most recent pullets begin laying.
Don is friendly, knowledgeable and easy to work with. We will be back; highly recommend!

We have gotten 7 chickens total from Polaris Hatchery. All the chickens have been extremely healthy, beautiful, calm, gentle, excellent layers, and cold hardy. Working with the owner has been wonderful, he is extremely kind, knowledgeable and professional. When it's time to expand our flock or replace old hens, this is where we will be going.

I had no idea this place even existed until a few week’s ago. What a blessing to know that Polaris hatchery is here. We had some dogs get into our flock and killed most of our layers. After a few calls to see if anyone on the peninsula had chicks still available we were referred up to Polaris. The owner is super responsive on calls and text messages. It was a joy working with him. If you are looking for chicks or even bird that are close to laying eggs go to Polaris first. He’s got a life long client now. Thanks

Polaris Hatchery exceeded my expectations with their exceptional customer service when I picked up my order of Freedom Rangers. They demonstrated their commitment to customer satisfaction by providing timely reminders and offering additional chicks. The staff member who assisted me was very kind and allowed my young son to hold the chick box while loading them up. I highly recommend Polaris Hatchery for their kind service and healthy chicks.

I have bought a number of pullets from Polaris over the last four years and every single one of them has been healthy. We’ve lost chickens to hawks and dogs, but never because they were sick. He’s a kind man who I love to support every time we need to replace a chicken in our flock.

Don & his family at Polaris Poultry are fantastic!
This family run local business is well worth supporting. They have great communication concerning hatch dates, orders & pickup. They also offer reasonably priced processing for poultry and do a great job! ?. The overnight air shipping of chicks from the out of state hatchery result in very few lost chicks from shipping times or stress. We have purchased chicks from them 5x in the past 2 years and only lost 2 chicks total. ☺️?☺️ We will never purchase chicks or have our poultry processed anywhere else as we have had nothing but positive results dealing with Polaris Poultry!
God bless Don and his family for helping Alaskans with food security in our northern state during these uncertain times. I highly recommend supporting this local, family run business! ❤️?❤️?❤️

Don was wonderful to work with in helping us choose the right layers. We bought 50 Novogen chicks, and they are now 5 months old and are laying quite a few eggs. Thank you so much.

We picked up chicks on a Wednesday night. All of them were shoved into what looks like a mailer envelope. They were literally piled in so tightly that they were standing on one another's head. Six died during the first night. Despite our best efforts, they all continued to die during the first four days. We reached out to them repeatedly, but nothing was done except for to make excuses the first couple of times. I waited two weeks to give the guy a fair chance to address the problem. In the end, he just chose not to. We won't be buying anything from Polaris again.
