After a horrible experience trying to purchase a kayak from Sportsman's Warehouse I came here instead. Much more pleasant experience. An associate was very quick to help me carry the kayak to checkout and even offered to help carry it to my vehicle. The process was as smooth as butter.

Also purchased a couple of bikes online from REI a few months back and that was also a smooth process. Didn't have the bikes we wanted in store but an associate did help fit us for the appropriate sized bikes. We placed an order online, once received REI put our bikes together for us and they're still going strong three months later. Have not had to bring the bikes in for any tune ups since.

With how hard it can be to get large items shipped to Alaska it's nice to have a good store you can rely on.

Great customer service, you are greeted by every employee. High end pricing on camping, fishing, hunting, biking, hiking, all your outdoor weather gear for every adventure. They carry all the top name brand gear you need for all your adventures in Alaska and beyond. If your a member you get a percent back on all purchases, which is nice if you shop there often, you get a dividend. The selection of sleeping bags is great for the outdoorsy person. The cast iron skillets, Dutch ovens and frying pans are awesome.

This was a great store as always. They had a huge selection of everything you would need but more importantly it is one of the most friendly staffs of any REI store that we’ve been to. I wish every store had a staff like this. It was a pleasure to stop in and shop here for last minute things we needed for our bike ride down the Americas

The don't they don't acknowledge their warranty program the 100% satisfaction guaranteed. I had a pair of shoes that blew out in a month and hurt my feet, and they denied me on their return policy. They are overpriced I would recommend going to other sports stores in the local area. And another thing don't tell him you work out of town. They get you to buy stuff saying that it's 100% satisfaction guaranteed but don't honor their policy.
So they guarantee their gear and their friend's gear but they don't do it if you don't know anybody.

I hope this helps you, and I hope you buy local, they are scams.

Don't buy something when they say they will 100% guaranteed it.

And the picture shows that in-between 2 to 4 weeks they are blown out.

My favorite place to shop for anything outdoors. They have a great bike repair and service shop.
