Our waiter took too long to provide us with the bill after we had asked her, she forgot to bring a to go box so she had to go back. There were only 4 tables occupied. We asked for a Heineken beer, and she brought a Modelo, I asked for my sprite to be refilled, and she refilled with flat coke. Is a nice place with a pretty good atmosphere they had live music. Also, it is a bit pricey for the amount of food you get. The taste wasn't that bad.

I took time to meet the outstanding international staff. Well-mannered and cordial. I ordered the suggested Filet Mignon paired with a Bordeaux. The follow up Armenian wine and RosΓ© were spectacular. The jazz band played at sundown. I will return.

This one is an absolute surprise: dining, live jazz, great service, all hidden at the very wear end of Roscoe Blvd.
Bonus round: there's a speakeasy hidden in the back.

Olive & Fig has a broad Mediterranean menu I would peg is Lebanese, including lamb, pork, seafood, beef, and a broad selection of vegetarian foods. Foods. Whoever's in the kitchen cares about the food, because it comes out beautiful, tasteful and tasty.

Appetizer portions are generous and spectacular. Dinner portions are regular and delicious.

There is a limited cocktail bar, but it's real. They've got about six beers on tap, and an extensive wine list.

Service is attentive and our particular server, Cynthia, made our meal with bright interactions, excellent suggestions, and just about the perfect amount of attention.

Live jazz two to four nights a week. We saw The Aristocrats trio, with no cover in a half full restaurant. The acoustics are great, the musicians were excellent and enjoying themselves, and the atmosphere was fantastic.

The interior is clean, beautiful, dark ceilings with retro LED bulbs, a waterfall in the lobby and three distinct seating areas. Booths, flat-tops, and a lounge area with deep couches..

Parking out front is limited to about 10 cars, but the mall just to the east is usually closed by dinner time and allows parking there.

If you pass through the dining room, just passed the stage through some beautiful doors, there's a speakeasy back there. Hookah, Cigar and the restaurant will serve.

The experience was delightful! Bonus that there was live music that weren’t expecting. Food was fabulous. Waiter was lovely, just took a bit to actually take our order after we had settled in with a glass of wine. Food prep was timely. We’ll be back!

I'll make this quick and simple because you really need to experience this place ASAP. πŸ’―

the parking lot is limited, but you should find a parking space immediately depending on the day of your visit. βœ… So pls just carpool if possible βœ…

Mon Tues Wed are not that busy. βœ…
Wednesday Thurs Fri and Sat can be busy because people come here for live jazz πŸ’―πŸ€©

Great food! βœ… Small servings however. But that's okay. You need to experience this place. In the end, it's all worth it. βœ…

I recommend the dessert I posted here. See pic and show them. They'll know what it is right away βœ…

Pls call before visiting to make sure everything goes well.

My wife and I will definitely visit again πŸ’―

Tell your server "my local Guide recommended this place." It's worth it 😎
You're welcome!

Disappointment πŸ˜₯

🍜 Food:

The food was okay, but only okay...

Overpriced for sure, for what you get. Plenty of better Middle Eastern restaurants around this area.

The main dish mentioned it was to be accompanied with rice and tomatoes, plural, and came with a single small tomato πŸ…...

We had the beef lulu and like I mentioned, it was unnotable..

The baklava is supposedly made in house, but was also, meh...

πŸ‘©β€πŸ’ΌService:

They were so over staffed when we visited on a Friday night that there were many employees just standing around searching for something to do. The staff kind of rushed us to finish our food faster than we could even enjoy the ambiance of the jazz band.

Even though we made a reservation and the restaurant was 40% empty...

They brought us our appetizer along with the main dish and brought us the check before we could order dessert...

So in summary, not nice...

🏠 Atmosphere:

They seem to have invested more money with setting up the restaurant's superficial decor then they did in making sure their food quality matched their prices...

It's an overly lit β€œjazz bar" with cheap square tables.

The table settings are tight, so watch your elbows.

πŸ’Έ Price:

Not worth it. We are simply not going back.

Thx

This is a nice local place. It has great jazz music, a dark(ish) cool room vibe, and a fancy dining vibe all in one. The food is ok, not the best Mediterranean, small portions, and service is hit or miss. The parking lot is small, valet only and not worth it as there is free street parking.

Food: we got the appetizer dips (hummas, babaganush, and some walnut mush). They were all good but the walnut mush was very good, we liked it best). We got some wraps, they were small and nothing special. The flavor was ok, the price was ok, the plain sides were...ok. well, the fries were actually pretty good. I got the chicken shwarma plate it was pricey, small(ish, for me) portion, but very tasty, well cooked, and staticifying. The rice was very good, albeit a little be greasey.

Our waiter was very nice when we arrived. Messed up our order (3 wraps and 2 shwarma plates), then basically forgot about us. Never refilled our waters (we had to go to the bar and ask for a pitcher of water), never checked on us until we were done, then was nice again by bringing my mom a little desert (which they charged us for) to celebrate her b-day. By the way, the baklava was just ok.

THE LIVE BAND that played was really good. I will definitely go back because of them and no other reason (now if I could only remember the name). They were a jazz trio (guitar, bass, drummer), older players with a singer (she was great), and they made the night very special.

Overall, if you go for the food, don't bother. If you go for the service, don't bother, but if you go for the jazz, absolutely go, that made the whole night worth it.

Go up
