I have yet to visit South Korea where ramyeon (instant noodles) is king. Thankfully, Nongshim sort of fills that void with their arsenal of sodium intemperance.

THE GOODS:
Big Bowl Udon - Found at Costco as a 6-pack, my co-worker/friend turned me on to this. She had me at “shoyu-flavor” but the aroma from her steaming bowl made me add it to my shopping list. I’m dumbfounded as to how the precooked, al dente udon noodles stay fresh in their vacuum-sealed pack but there wasn’t any funky chemical-taste to them. Traditional powdered dashi is replaced with a liquid sauce, with freeze dried green onions, seaweed and fishcake in the other pack. Add water and zap in the microwave. Honestly, if I was served this in a glass bowl, I’d swear it was from a restaurant. As I ate this at work, I wish I had a piece of shrimp tempura for dunking and dropped-in poached egg. Highly recommended.

Big Bowl Tonkotsu - Said co-worker/friend brought me a bowl to try from her stash. Not being a fan of tonkotsu broth, this was pretty tasty, savory and a bit creamy, yet not heavy like a traditional pork broth from a ramen shop.

Bowl Noodles
These are your traditional dried noodles with powdered seasoning. For me, I find that using 3/4 of the dashi is perfect. My favorites are Spicy Kim Chee, Savory Lobster and Spicy Shrimp.

I opened my ramen and looked closely at the noodles and saw little white bugs crawling all over my noodles

Went online to purchase this at a high cost - no longer available at Costco, et al. Half of six cups were damaged; open lids and contents strewn on bottom of delivery box.

I'm not sure if it's because the manufacturing process has changed, but recently produced 5 pack-noodles taste way too salty. Therefore, I no longer purchase Nongshim ramen.

The products from this company are good but my god the customer service from their email is awful. It took me resending the same question over a few months to get a response and when I did get a response they didn’t even answer my question which tells me they didn’t care to thoroughly read my email. Again the products are fine but don’t expect the customer service email to be any help whatsoever.

I have been purchasing 'tonkotsu' product from costco US and feel that there is ABSOLUTELY no tonkotsu flavor coming from the package when compared to local soup or previous costco offering. Company website does not allow to submit comment to the US headquarter for feedback so this company seems like a scam
