The Temescal Farmer’s Market that takes place in the Department of Motor Vehicles parking lot every Sunday from ( I think) 9 am to 2pm has a great selection of absolutely the freshest vegetables, fruits and flowers. There are also great food, coffee and entertainment!

Great selection of fruits, vegetables, ready-mades, coffee, pastries, and flowers. The flowers were beautiful, the strawberries were delicious as were the blueberries; the okra we bought was fresh and cooked up perfectly. The star was the heirloom tomatoes eaten in a very simple tomato and dressing salad.

Not many fresh produce options. Very overpriced (over double the price of the farmers market in downtown Oakland). Not a lot of samples and the store owner was being passive aggressive when we sampled his fruit without buying it (they don't taste the best and are very expensive).

Good farmers market. Wish there was a larger flower selection but the variety of produce is lovely and extremely fresh.

I love farmers markets (when i remember they’re happening) and this is one of my frequent stops. Parking can be iffy, so be patient and try not to be a jerk to everyone around you.

The stalls are pretty well spaced, which makes me prefer this location over the one at Lake Merritt. I don’t like feeling that i’m running into everyone.

I can get my basics, but don’t find many thrills. Cholita Linda usually does a pop-up and i love a morning taco. I generally get: mushrooms, potatoes, onions, leafy greens, berries/citrus, $5 bouquets, and coffee. The large bags of rice are a nice splurge.

💵 I almost always forget to bring cash and one stall in particular won’t accept anything else so be warned. Prices are ~okay~ but shop around. $-$$

🚽 are across the street and free, but please be respectful to the space

🐶 sadly no pets and i was asked to leave the last time i brought my senior pup. i put him in a backpack after and no one seemed to mind.

This gem has all your produce, eggs, and meat needs. Plus, specialty prepared food items. Lots of parking and good shade for those hot days.

This exact farmers market location is for white people. Most of all the vendors are white and pretty stuck up and rude! I only came across two black vendors out of the entire farmers market! I won’t be returning! Very disappointed I went from Oakland to whites only ville in a matter of minutes and it would be different if the whites were actually friendly and welcoming! But they weren’t the were unwelcoming and suspect! Sad at the racism that continues to persist in Oakland. I’ll try going downtown and see if that changes anything

One of the best farmers markets in the area! right by a park so it's great for families with kids. Parking can be sparse though.
