When I bought my x380 in April 2023, they delivered it to me in Squaw Valley. The guy who delivered it (as well as the salesman who sold me the mower), said I had a three year warranty and they would come to my house for no travel charge during the warranty period. However, I just tried to get help and the service department said it would cost $120 just to come up. I love the mower, but not the company I bought it from.

We had our riding lawn mower serviced here and they were very helpful and flexible. At first we scheduled for them to pick up our lawnmower, however we were able to drop it off instead and they were flexible with canceling the pick-up and letting us drop it off. We had blades changed and basic tune up. When we used the lawnmower about a month later it started to shut off on its own and they sent Derek out to look at it since he did the maintenance. Derek was so patient and looked at the mower and reviewed it until it made the same issue we ran into. He was able to diagnose it and fix it on the spot and in the rain! Derek was helpful and informative of what the issue was, how he fixed it, and answered all our questions with additional helpful information. This is our go to place from now on for our riding lawnmower.

I bought a John Deere tractor from a family that had bought it from Lawrence and had it serviced by Lawrence. When I first brought the tractor home (I drove it and it ran fine), I hired Lawrence to come to my ranch and do a full evaluation, which they did. They called me at work and said everything was great. When I got home, the tractor wouldn't start. I called Lawrence, they sent someone back out, and they determined that the gas tank was filled with debris, including leaves. They removed the debris, but of course I was billed full rate for the second trip and work. That was frustrating, and I wonder how thorough their evaluation really was. Wish they would have found the issue during their first visit, and saved me the time and money. When I mentioned this to the service department, they said, "yup."

Fast forward a few months. My 3 point hitch wasn't working. They came onsite while I was at work, and then called me later and said it was fixed and working great. I got home, and the hitch didn't work at all. I called them back and they said, nope that tractor is broken and you need to bring it in for service. My bill for this service was $1500. 10 hours of labor, including the drive to Three Rivers plus $11 in parts. Not only was the tractor not fixed (as they told me it was), but I had to pay for 10 hours of service to "check a valve" that ultimately did nothing. That seems excessive. I called them to learn more, but their service manager is off for a week and they will have to call me back.

I will be looking for a new service provider for my tractor- hopefully someone a little more knowledgeable and reasonable on their rates.

I have a newer riding mower, John Deere D130. I took it to Lawrence Tractor one month ago because it needed new blades and was due a "tune up". They did a great job communicating with me how long they would need it and did all the work for a really reasonable price. When I got my tractor back, it was running so much better, the difference was night and day. I was pumped with the return on my investment, as are my kids, who do most of the mowing 🙂 .

Four weeks later, my drive belt busted during a normal mow. I decided to take it in and ask about a warranty because the belt had just been replaced. The service manager took me write away to the repair technician and instructed him to get in his truck and follow me home to make the repair. They warrantied the belt and took care of the service right then and there, no paperwork, no questions asked. Evidently there was a setting on the deck that needed to be adjusted so the repair fit under warranty. The repair technician, Derek, also showed me a few upkeep tricks with the mower and was gone within 30 minutes. I WAS SO PLEASED WITH THEIR HANDLING OF THE SITUATION. Unbelievable service. I'm a customer for life ... my only regret is that I bought the mower from Lowe's three years ago, and not them. Lawrence Tractor will do any and all service on my mower moving forward.

I gotta give credit where it is due. It is due. Had problems with my gator, left it a month ago. Was there for 4 days, and the mechanic could not find a problem. Took it back out in the field, did not take long for the problems to appear for me. And then some. Took it back, and wow...not only did they fix the problems this time, but in 24 hours. Not only that, but I want to commend the young mechanic that worked on my gator, AND treated me with the upmost of respect. You won me over today. I hope you see this review:-) Give this young man a raise! ( And tell his mom that he was raised right! )

The service manager is a jackass he has no respect declined to work on my John deer over some issue he had going on not my problem keep in mind I bought it for 9 thousand from there lot ,I bought 2 tractors, 2 lawnmower ,flag pole tree cutter , weed eater etc all my equipment I bought from there when he declined service he called me poor along with his sales boyfriend that has his back name Kyle those guys a trash called them out to go to the parking lot shut up went back in there shop. I was not ever going to spend a penny there but spoke with the Wesley he is currently taking over this situation and working on my lawn more remember the guy he called poor has a 15 million dollar business who farms and has multiple businesses why would he call me poor when they make minimum wage. Sucks John Deer hires people like that very unfortunate that 2 people making a big company look bad.
