I found Packaroons while on vacation in Alaska. They are amazing and perfect for a little snack to keep you going. I throw one in my pack when I'm out. They are not just for the back country. I purchased a few of their other meals and so far they have all been super tasty. Their customer service and fun (and responsive) social media show a small company that is involved and hard working. I highly recommend giving them a try.

I do at least 1, 10-14 day backpack hunt in Northern BC every year. I have tried many meals, by many different producers. Heather's, by far, have not only kept me content from a flavour, texture and small packaging standard, these meals have incredible nutritional value that sustain long days carrying a heavy load, in all conditions. In nearly all my trips into the backcountry in recent years, Heather’s Choice entrees and packaroons have become a major part of my menu. I enjoy all of the dinners, especially the smoked sockeye salmon chowder I had for dinner recently on a Boundary Waters canoe trip. I highly recommend you give these meals a try!

As a health-conscious outdoor professional with decades of experience I have tried all of the various options for camping meals. No others come close to Heather's Choice. They are just the right size - too many other meal brands make me feel over-full - and yet the quality and combination of the ingredients keeps me fuller and going stronger for longer. I have tried all the main meals and breakfasts and they are all tasty and highly nutritious. Some of the meals are pretty high in fat and calories, but they are designed for folks who are really working hard in challenging outdoor conditions, which suits me perfectly.

Heather's Choice is my choice ?
I have tried other brands but NONE come close to the organic, gluten free, and overall healthy food content that Heather provides in her meals. The portion size to calorie content is perfect. Its a meal that I can finish and still get all the calories that I need on a 3-4 day backcountry outing. I especially like the Salmon chowder for dinner and a banana buckwheat for breakfast.

Excellent meals with healthy ingredients and easy to prepare on the trail. Heather's Choice meals pack plenty of high quality calories to maintain a good energy level on long lightweight backpacking, packrafting, and XC skiing trips.
I look forward to the flavors before meal time and they definitely satisfy cravings.
