NC Meadery not only has great tasting meads, but some of the best ciders I've tasted! Staff if super friendly and knowledgeable. They let us have a couple tastes and we ordered two flights. You can bring in food while you enjoy your beverages. Players Pizza is practically next door and Twelve 28 is across the way. I've now been several times and always enjoy their classic and new brews! Several places in GV, PV and NC have their ciders on tap. This is a place not to be missed! Cheers!

I came in right as they opened and the owner was a wonderful person! First the flavors available are wonderful. I had a flight for $12 were you get 5 decent sized pours of what ever flavors they have available. Outside of the dry cider, the drinks are semi dry to semi sweet. Nothing is too overtly sweet but the flavor is so good. I personally thought the butter mead was the best (so much so that I got a growler of it for $22, worth it).

Secondly, the owner is a wonderful gentleman. Both was willing to have just a general conversation but also went into some detail about the drinks. I do a bit of homebrewing and he was willing to have a conversation about that as well. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it.

Great atmosphere and people. The owners are very welcoming. This was our first time here and our first mead tasting, we're glad we finally stopped by. The variety of meads and ciders are amazing and our group all found one they loved. Thanks for the experience.

Awesome! I love tasting the Hard Cider & Mead! So many great flavors. They're a new company but Very talented in their wine & cider business. Its so interesting to hear how Aaron and Joy started out, competitions they've won & plans for the future! They are a MUST experience waiting for you to visit, relax & enjoy, especially if you haven't tried it before.

Very welcoming and excellent brews. Pops and I were new to mead and were walked through the taplist and served plenty of samples by a cheerful man with a beard whose name escapes me. Very impressed, I left with a half gallon of Butter Brew. The stop/trip is worth your while!

First time visiting and will be heading back. Super friendly staff although I didn’t catch his name! Got a flight and Butter brew mead and Peach Habanero cider were standouts. Not only that but he threw in a few more flavors to try. No kitchen but you can bring your own food and enjoy the mead. Glad this place is down the road and will be heading back. Check them out!

The mead is exceptional as well as interesting. I owned a food company for 7 years. Flavor matters to me and this place does beautiful things. The flavor compositions are balanced. With mead, I have found that they can be overly earthy or overly wine-y. Nevada County Mead struck a balance that makes my taste buds happy and intrigued, which is rare for me.

The owner is also really kind and helpful. Not only did I super dig the mead, he is the kind of owner that I want to support.

Thank you for a wonderful afternoon! I will be back!
