I love this Draeger's. The bakery and deli staff are great, and our family gets all our dessert treats here. Yet, over the course of several visits in the last year, one member of management and staff (Jose M?) demeans me every time I encounter him. I have a strong sense he is anti-Asian. It ruins my otherwise delightful experience every time I encounter him. It is my hope the owners and senior management will train him appropriately. I suppose the inference otherwise is that business from Asian customers is not welcome.

It's a great market, produce and meats are superior to most everywhere else.
One thing, they put Sodium Nitrate in their freshly made corn beef. In case you are health conscious, this chemical is BANNED in most European countries because it's known to cause stomach cancer.
I posted this information on NextDoor and they censored it and said I was bullying the store for pointing this out!

Draeger's is a really good market. They have a great selection of various types of fresh baked bread, cakes, cookies, pies, pastries, deli selection, seafood, meats, fruit, vegetables, wines, etc.
Besides the market in Los Altos, there's one in Menlo Park, San Mateo and Danville.
We recently bought fresh seafood for Crab Chippino and it was delicious. We also bought a scone, chocolate croissant, chicken salad sandwich, and a turkey, cheese and cranberry sandwich and everything was really good!

Very nice people, good coffee and bakery, and best cheesecake ever, back and soft macarons, I always buy cakes for all celebrations in this shop. Highly recommend☝️

The most expensive grocery store in the bay area. Watch out the Los Altos old ladies there, rude, entitled white women.. Same products at other stores are less... They do have a good selection but not worth paying extra for unless you’re looking for something special. Good wine selection. Good meat department. Good produce, just ok fruit. This location was way over cautious about Covid and have an annoying line up system at the cash registers that confuses everyone except frequent shoppers. I noticed the employee name tags have pronouns recently too. Why do I need to know your pronoun? Dumb…Most of the employees are nice except for 2 or 3 bad apples ( rude ). Been shopping here for 20 years so I think I’m qualified to make an honest review.

Very clean store but the customer service at the checkout was very bad. I told the cashier to be careful with the food because she had fragile things and she got angry that they knew but in the photo they put things wrong

This is a high-end store with matching prices. But it's well worth shopping there because of the quality food products, fruits, vegetables, etc. The variety of foods offered is outstanding and the meats/butcher section is as good as it gets. The deli and bakery are amazing! Don't go there if you can't control your urges to buy delicious cakes, pies and cookies. The store is clean, employees are particularly polite and friendly, and the parking is safe and easy.
