Wow, what a farm and amazing owner (Rick). It made our day, and we are going to visit this farm every time we are at Palm Springs. Not only was the tour free but also so informational .

Along with learning about dates farming, we learnt how someone can be so humble, loving, and practical. Rick is an amazing personality and truly inspirational. His love for animals is deeply rooted in the whole farm.

We got big and small bags of dates, and we loved the taste and the freshness.

Just call him before you start so that he can be available. His tours are very in-depth, and he makes you feel super comfortable.

Our kids fed the dates to the horses (very very cute) as well :). Super fun.

What a wonderful pit stop! Rick was an excellent host, he showed us the farm and told us interesting facts about the date trees and harvest. He was patient while we translated for our family. Dates are delicious and a great buy. Our dog had a great time too!

The visit to Desert Mountain Dates made our trip. What a truly enchanting oasis Rick has built and grown. The work and commitment he has given his craft is admirable. We learned about the process to plant, tend, and harvest dates from Rick who is such a gracious host. We felt like cherished friends. The dates are over the top delicious. This place was amazing - the kids loved it. Rick was extremely informative, patient, good spirited, and great with the kids. We learned a ton and left with fantastic dates and pomegranates. There were horses and chickens. It’s not a commercial experience - but an independently run farm where the farmer gives the tours. I’ll come back again

What a fun personal tour with Rick at Desert Mountain Dates! He was super welcoming to us and made sure to show us all the sights of the ranch, including the miniature horses. We also learned a lot about all the work that goes into creating the perfect date.

A lovely farm, lovely tour and delicious dates! Rick couldn't be more personable and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the personal stories and learning more about how dates are grown and harvested. A bonus - feedind miniature horses!
Definitely make this part of your visit to the Palm Springs area. You'll learn a lot and can buy some delicious dates from a small-scale producer.
