Such a wonderful experience! The menu has some unique choices that you must try. Our favorite is the Southern trash board! I would have never put any of these things together, but every combination is so tasty! Haden was an excellent server on our last visit. If you mention that the amazing French fries could only be better with cheese sauce, he will make that happen. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

Southern Grocery is a great addition to The Shoals. I’ve been several times with friends and have really enjoyed everything I’ve tried. The cheese grits are the best I’ve ever had. Hannah was one of our waitresses and was such a delight!

If you're up to spending a little bit more for lunch or dinner and want something that's not your normal run of the mill fair, this is the place to go. The atmosphere reminds me of somewhere traditionally warm and inviting yet modern and sophisticated with a cleanliness that invites anyone and everyone for a meal that they won't forget .

This is the second time this week I had been there and this time I chose the Crawfish bisque. This was some really good stuff and I'm telling you it was so good that if it had more meeting it it would have been a chowder.

The people that I were with had a Monte Cristo that was really enjoyable chicken and asparagus that they enjoyed also and the hamburger which they thought was really good .

The service was very attentive as we held our little meeting and not obstructive. Great place to sit down and actually have a nice meal and conversation. Highly recommend it

This was by far the best steak I have ever had in my life and it was worth every penny. After the first bite my wife had to ask if I was ok. I was shocked how tender and flavorful it was, it really caught me by surprise. The service, the food, and the atmosphere was next level compared to anything else in the area. I give it 11/10

New restaurant open in Sheffield, AL. The food is outstanding. I really hope this restaurant makes it.
We had Alligator Bites for an appetizer.
I got Pork Tenderloin skewers with brocoli and a twice baked potato.
For dessert I had the strawberry shortcake.
Looking forward to eating here again soon. I highly recommend this restaurant, I may have a new favorite.

We had a wonderful time eating at southern grocery. My wife and I really enjoyed the drinks a old fashion and the smash. Our waitress teri was very attentive to our needs and very nice. The food was really great by the end of our dinner our waitress showed us the firepits outside. We would love to come back and just order some drinks and an appetizer while we are sitting by the fire pits.

Oh My Lanta!! Y’all!!! If you have not been to Southern Grocery in Sheffield, Al on Second St… you need to!!! We got alligator bites for a starter and my lovely friend Karrie Coburn opted for the appetizer as an entree which was HUGE called the blackened chicken nachos. Mouthwatering!!! I got the shrimp and crawfish cakes with a side of cheese grits. It was delectable!!! The drink was called the Sweet Caroline and was delicious with a citrusy taste and a hint of lavender. For dessert we got the peanut butter pie but opted out of the carmalized bananas. I’m in so stuffed and content!!! I’ve been trying to get here for a couple of months and finally made it!!

We came on a Saturday night. Love the ambiance, super cozy & dimly lit for dinner. We had an old fashioned & margarita, both excellent. Steak was cooked exactly as ordered & the butter topping was to die for. The dinner portion of the mussels was perfect. There were several things on the menu that looked great, can’t wait to come back and try it again.
