I rarely write a review, but I felt I needed to write this. I was hosting an intimate wine tasting party this past Saturday evening and was planning to go shopping early in the morning to get all my ingredients to put together 2 charcuterie boards. After a really crazy morning, however, I thought it might just be better to order some boards and save the stress and time of having to put them together myself. After searching the internet, what I quickly learned was that most places require a 3-4 day window to place an order, which is completely understandable. I tried contacting several places that didn't have any specified turnaround time, but got no response (probably because it was a Saturday...again...completely understandable).
There were two places that said online they could do same day orders, but neither said they could do it that day.
As I was about to give up on the idea of finding some place last minute, and after hating myself for not having planned things through more carefully, I decided to try one more place: Boxed Bites OC. Kim texted me back right away and was soooo helpful. Their delivery fee was so reasonable compared to the fees on a lot of the websites I had visited. Kim arrived 10 minutes prior to the delivery time. The food was delicious and presented very nicely. My guests loved the local raw honey from Coto de Caza. At the end of it all, Kim even followed up to make sure the event went well. It was Pretty Sweet to experience this level of service. I told Kim next time, I'm going to call her in well in advance, but "Thank you for saving my day!"
