It's been said that a horse is a horse, of course And that no one can talk to a horse of course. But if your horse is in need of a vacation... look no further than VH Farms. VH Farms is the ultimate acreage where your horse can be a horse, of course. A retreat where a horse can horse around engaging in as little, or as much horse play as your horse so desires, of course... Or, relax in the shade, perhaps...the choice to be made is up to the horse throughout the entire course of your horse's stay. So trot on down to VH Farms, and you TOO, might get in touch with your inner horse as you want to stay yourself, of course

Jolanda and Chris have been so accommodating since I brought my retired horse here. He is older and they were able to fit his every need. It is a very nice environment and the horses love it!

A little slice of horse heaven. A great place to retire your horse, or to board a horse that you are still riding. The ranch is located among rolling hills near Happy Camp trails, and enjoys an ocean breeze that keeps the temperatures moderate in the summer. There are a number of different pastures of different sizes with shade trees, other horses to be companions for your horse, and big water tanks cleaned by goldfish (so your horse does not drink toxic chemicals along with water). Feeders are scattered so that every horse, no matter how low on the totem pole, gets plenty to eat. Some pastures have grass seasonally, which is amazing for dry southern California. There is also an outstanding farrier who boards his own horses there and is available to shoe or trim your horse's hooves. They keep an eye on your horses and will blanket them or feed supplements or special feed on request. They feed hay and not cubes!
