Look, I appreciate what they were trying to do here and the corn maze was actually really cool. But everything leading up to the actual haunted maze was a disaster.
There were TONS, and I do mean tons, of people clustered together in a massive group with no masks and no distancing. There were 3-4 picnic tables, obviously always full with at least 100+ people there. There was no group limit - we saw groups of 17 being called in who took forever to get through the maze. We waited 2 1/2 hours AFTER we bought tickets to get in, and about an hour into that we noticed that the group of 7 who had paid before us was called to go in but we were not. Why? Oh, because apparently they allow you to call in advance when you’re on your way and reserve your place on the verrrrrry long list so that when you arrive, you just pay and your place is held! Neat, right? Or at least it would be if they told people that; there is nowhere that information is listed so I’m wondering why certain people were allowed to reserve spots while others waited nearly three hours with nowhere to sit, no direction, and VERY drunk high schoolers stumbling around the field they have you wait in like cattle.
Two stars because the corn maze WAS cool, albeit short - and unfortunately the way it was set up, the group of young girls in front of us were allowed to go nuts, screaming and nearly trampling our group as they turned to run back the way they’d come. Our group did not receive ANY scares because the actors seemed focused on the front group and then kind of half-heartedly jumped at us when it was our turn to walk by.
Meh. It was nice to try out one year but we won’t be back.
