A few of my uncles work here, so I got the chance to tour the farm with my family. At first, my mother and I were apprehensive about the way the cows would be treated here after seing videos of abuse in a dairy farm. However, the cows seemed well taken care of. We even witnessed some cows give birth in the area designated for pregnant cows. The cows walked themselves in and out of the milking room, making the process faster and eliminating force. After being milked, the cows were disinfected, and the floor was hosed down. There were fans everywhere to keep it cool for the cows during the hot summer day. It was nicer than I expected (and I hope it stayed that way even after my family left the farm). I wish all dairy farms were like this one or maybe even better.
