We delivered our first calf using the MooCall device. We had a couple of alerts earlier in the night that there was activity. Then it was quiet from 1030 until 2 in the morning when it woke me up with another one. We have a camera system so I was able to check the cameras and sure off we had a calf.

We purchased MooCall to help us monitor a heifer that was bred while still on her mother. We place the MooCall monitor on our heifer and waited. In about a week we were notified of high activity with our heifer. We went to check on her. She was sniffing the ground and swishing her tail a lot. We got her in the lot and left her as nothing was showing yet. In about an hour we got another high activity notification. Still nothing showing. We checked her and could feel two feet and a head so we left her and checked her again in 1 1/2 hours. The nose and two feet were showing . We helped her a little and a fine bull calf was born. WOW! I didnt believe it. But, I bought a Moocall and we put it on our cow. Last night on my way home from work, I got a high activity notification. I figured it was probably a false alarm since it was still 4 days until her due date. However, I got home and there staring at me was a new born Scottish Highland calf. Mom and baby were fine!
Thank you Moocall. I am sold and will be using your product on all our expected moms! I love that I was given a heads up for an imminent arrival. Worth every penny.

I have only gotten to use this once and I placed on cow the same day she calved. It notified me a few times throughout the day and I check due to did not know if she was in active labor or just annoyed of moocall on tail. But in the evening I was alerted and sure enough she was calving. It was nice piece of mind for my small herd.

I received an older model MooCall alarm from a friend. The device had never been activated and we were excited to try it on one of our heifers. Initially we could not get the sensor to connect despite trying all of the troubleshooting in the manuals. When I realized I needed more help it was the weekend and I couldn’t reach anyone at customer service. I was pretty frustrated but the next business day I received 3 calls to help get the sensor activated. After a couple tries I was able to get the sensor working. I went out and put the alarm on the heifer’s tail which was very easy and straightforward.

The heifer had the MooCall on for 4 days. On the 4th day the alarm indicated calving activity starting at 9:30a. It alerted again 4:20p and 8:30pm. She delivered the calf around 10pm. Overall it was a positive experience and a relief to have it. It saved us from having to drive out to the farm at all hours of the night which was great. We could watch at home on the cameras until she started active labor.

I would definitely recommend the MooCall to anyone who needs to keep a close eye on a cow or heifer. While impractical to have one for every cow, having one for a heifer that needs watched closely, especially for a very valuable calf, the MooCall is an excellent device to help monitor. Not a substitute for good observation but a good addition to the toolbox.

Moocall working very well, as my farm is 40 miles away from where i live, moocall has saved me time and of course travel. it alerted me when the cow was 2 hours and 1 hour from calfing. I would highly reccommend this product.

Found this alarm very good, so simple and as the cow building is some way from the house, let us know in good time, when it fell off tail (my fault) the alarm came through and told us what had happened. Simple to use great design
