This is a great place to take children as it is educational for them, too, including easy read information and lots of play areas. Staff are really friendly and informative. We fed lambs with a bottle. Reptile house is great as you can touch snakes and lizzards if you wish.

Grandsons 2nd birthday, so 3 of us plus Great Auntie & uncle in tow took him here.
1st staff were wonderful, allowed hands-on with the small fluffies, and the not so fluffy! Guinea pigs, rabbits, gecko, and python.
All areas are accessible, as the other half uses a power wheelchair. Children's play areas are nice and clean, ice cream parlour and cafe, and plenty of seating and indoor play areas. And don't forget the inclusive train ride.

Took an adult I support there, and he loved it
The staff were super friendly and helpful, he loved the little train and loved looking at the reptiles, was even encouraged to stroke one by the lovely man who was there at the time! The cafe was nice and decently priced.

? What an unforgettable day at Windmill Animal Farm! ?

Today, we had the most amazing time with our family at this fantastic farm in Burscough. Our son took a huge step and overcame his fear of critters—he even held some massive snakes! ? It was incredible to see him so brave and proud.

From goats ?, sheep ?, alpacas ?, and cows ? to guinea pigs ?, rabbits ?, geckos ?, chickens ?, and so many more, the kids were in awe of all the animals. The train ride ? was a highlight, and the pure joy on their faces was priceless. And let's not forget the delicious ice cream ?—the perfect treat on such a gorgeous day!

Our children, who are on the autism spectrum and have ADHD and sensory processing disorder, had an absolute blast. Windmill Animal Farm really knows how to make every child feel welcome and included. We can't wait to go back! ?

We went on a Sunday, 2 adults and 1 nearly 5 year old, plenty of off road parking, all of the staff are lovely and you can tell they enjoy thier jobs and they make the place feel special, everyone's from the reception desk to all the animals handlers, very good value for money, unlimited train rides, pet the guinea pigs and rabbits, reptiles, snakes, spiders, along with all the usual farm animals, plenty of space to walk around. Only 1 downside I would say is the cafe is very expensive, am sure it was over £5 for a sandwich or something along the lines of that so maybe come prepared. Overall would go again and worth the visit.

We had a lovely day here with my 3 year old. Car parking is free (bring wellies in wet weather!) and the entry process quick. We fed the lambs milk, the animals food, and held guinea pigs. Plenty of reptiles to see too.

There is a soft play area for under 4s, in the cafe, and the food itself was very tasty.

Plenty of small attractions for younger children, which you need to pay for separately and a small gift shop too.

We will return again.

A lovely farm with a really nice play area. A perfect kids friendly animal farm. I just wish there were more varieties of animals. There is a lovely little area to play with guinea pigs.
