Let me just begin with everyone needs to experience Smoke Mountain Brewery at some point in their lives! My boyfriend and I are very spontaneous, but this weekend started off completely different. My amazing boyfriend planned a few stops in the area for my birthday weekend. He isnt the one to plan, I usually do the planning but this time he took over! We caught a lot of traffic and ended up having to spending our afternoon at a beautiful nursery instead of hitting the places we had planned. Thank goodness for that traffic because what happened next was surreal!!! We got hungry and of course our go to is ALWAYS a local brewery. I searched “Breweries near me” and the first one randomly popped up and I turned to him and said “I’m not even going to look through the pictures...do you want to just wing it? Are you down?” and he said “YES!!!” (we always scroll through the 2000 yelp photos before choosing our brewery) I think we both were just yearning for spontaneity! I am SO glad that we winged it and ended up here. Everything led us there exactly for this! We got lost trying to find this but that made it extra special. We even got to see clouds rolling in. It was sureal, every moment! Ethereal! It brought back Costa Rica memories being in the cloud forest, but this time I was in Santa Barbara...overlooking the ocean. The brewery is for private events so it was closed but the super sweet owners were so surprised we found the hidden gem that they let us stay and had us try their beer and let me tell you it was for sure in my top 3 BEST BEERS i’ve ever tried!! We joined the beer club and could not head home without a few bottles! I cant wait to be back for future events! Oh and did I mention how amazing the owners are? SUPER SWEET and you can sense the genuineness both from the owners and the beer! Best of both worlds!
